Phoebe Garcia

Originally from Brownsville, TX, Phoebe received her BA in Arts and Performance at the University of Texas at Dallas and later received her MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. While completing her MA, she was a Pre-K assistant teacher at a homeless shelter in Minneapolis and interned with the Family Learning department at the Children’s Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul.  She returned to Dallas in 2022 to continue her  community engagement work in the educational non-profit sector. 

Accessibility and building bridges to close the opportunity gap have always been the core of her work. She is excited to be part of an organization whose mission and values fall in line with her own. Giving communities a voice starts by listening to their needs and she is ready to take on that responsibility as the partner and community engagement manager with Bachman Lake Together.
